Get ready for the best movie pitch ever - Die Hard meets Question Time!

Action drama The Lords Day has been picked up by Sony Pictures, and why wouldn't they when the plot is thus - terrorists take over parliament but they never counted on one MP who just so happens to be an ex army man.

When MP Harry Jones attempts to stop the terrorists, he discovers that a global conspiracy is afoot. (Isn't that always the case?)

The Lords Day is based on the Michael Dobbs novel, with Sony looking at the adventures of Jones as a franchise.

Taken writer Robert Mark Kamen is on scribe duties, but there is no word yet on a director or actor.

We can't wait.
