The mooted new Ghostbusters movie is a distinct possibility after Bill Murray hinted that he might be interested.

The Lost In Translation actor previously dismissed any possibility of his involvement in Ghostbusters 3 but he seems to be having second thoughts.

Talking at the US film festival Fantastic Fest, The 58-year-old spoke about the writers of the US version of The Office, Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, penning the script, saying: "That could work, that's a good idea to get a fresh look at it.

"I think the wounds from Ghostbusters 2 have healed."

Murray and fellow Ghostbusters stars, including Dan Akroyd who played Stantz and Harold Ramis (Spengler), recently leant their voices to a video game based on the original movies and Murray says he even enjoyed that experience.

"It was fun to do it again," he said. "I found myself walking down Fifth Avenue singing the [theme] song. People were like, 'That guy's really full of himself!'"
