Bond star Daniel Craig is insisting 007 writers do not to write any more jokes into the secret agent movie franchise because it undermines his character's credibility.
The 39-year-old hunk, who took over the legendary superspy role for 2006’s Casino Royale, wants the brand to remain dark and brooding.
"I don’t think you should have gags in Bond. I’m not going to shy away from the fact that occasionally there should be humour. I just don’t like written gags," he said. "That’s not the way I’ve ever liked working and I don’t think it is funny."
Meanwhile it is rumoured the actor is engaged after his girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
Craig's film producer girlfriend was seen sporting a large diamond solitaire on her left hand when the couple arrived on the red carpet for the London premiere of his new movie, the Golden Compass, on Tuesday night.
The 39-year-old James Bond star reportedly proposed to Mitchell during a romantic break in Italy this summer, but the pair have since refused to confirm whether a wedding is imminent.
