Never a man to put his feet up when there are movies to be done, Samuel L Jackson has been announced for two new films in one day.
In Man That Rocks The Cradle he plays reputed "kid whisperer" Marion Delacroix, hired by an overworked father-of-four as a live-in nanny.
The other is Soul Men, which is - praise the Lord - most emphatically not a sequel to the wretched '80s comedy Soul Man, but a musical about two backing singers in a soul band.
Jackson stars alongside Bernie Mac (best known as Frank Catton in the Ocean's franchise), as a duo who loathe each other and haven't spoken in years, even though they're in the same band.
The story (which echoes real life soul duo Sam & Dave) sounds promising, but much will depend on how well Sam and Bernie carry off their song-and-dance routines, which we're told, will be all their own work.
