80s Adidas-wearing rap giants Run-DMC are to have their story told in a movie.
Screenwriter Cheo Hodari Coker, who penned the current Biggie Smalls film Notorious, will focus on the trio in an adaptation of Bill Adler's Tougher Than Leather: The Rise Of Run-DMC for the big screen.
The film will of course chart the rise of Joseph 'Run' Simmons, Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels and Jason 'Jam Master Jay' Mizell who as Run-DMC released such hits as It's Like That, It's Tricky and the ground breaking rap/rock Aerosmith collaboration Walk This Way.
Jam Master Jay was killed in a shooting at his New York studio in 2002 while Simmons became Reverend Run and stars in his own reality show in the US. He also co-hosted last year's Mobo Awards.
