Tube comedy Three and Out suffered severe delays at the UK box office after it failed to enter the top ten following its release last weekend.

The controversial comedy only took £189,454 at the box office - that is despite (or maybe even because of) a high profile battle with trade unions and drivers over the film's plot. Mackenzie Crook stars as a tube driver who, after accidentally running over and killing two people, learns that if a third person dies at the wheels of his train he will be given a redundancy payoff of ten years' wages.

However, the film has obviously not proved popular with the moviegoing public and languishes in 12th place on the weekly list.

It was better news for Russell Brand though. His comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall topped the box office chart after taking £1.5 million in three days. Jessica Alba's horror The Eye was in second place, while gambling thriller 21 moved from first place to third.

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey's action comedy Fool's Gold dropped two places to fourth, while In Bruges occupied fifth spot. The quirky low budget hitman comedy stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson.
