Lohman gets burned by "Fire"

Alison Lohman ("Matchstick Men") has signed up to star alongside Halle Berry, David Duchovny and Benicio Del Toro in new drama "Things We Lost in the Fire". The film will centre on a woman who is suddenly widowed when her husband unexpectedly dies. She later invites her husband's troubled friend to live with her family, and as he manages to turn his life around, he helps the family confront their grief. Berry will play the bereaved widow and Del Toro the houseguest, while Duchovny will feature in flashbacks as the dead husband. Lohman will play the girlfriend of Del Toro's character.

Danish helmer Susanne Bier ("Open Hearts") is directing the DreamWorks Pictures project from a script by relative newcomer Allan Loeb. Filming has already begun in Vancouver.
