The lure of Owen Wilson obviously proved to strong for many over the Bank Holiday weekend as his new movie "You, Me And Dupree" has gone straight to the top of the UK box office chart. The movie, which also stars Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon and sees Owen playing a houseguest who outstays his welcome, earned a healthy £1.6 million over the weekend (August 25th - 27th), knocking last week's No. 1, "Snakes On A Plane", into second.
"Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" is still sailing high in the charts at No. 3 - the movie is just short of the £50 million in the UK - while Pixar's "Cars" came in fourth. Scary family animation "Monster House" finished fifth.
