With a sixth Rocky due next year a fourth Rambo and another Terminator movie in the works, what other '80s franchise can Hollywood possibly reignite next? How's about Beverley Hills Cop.

Yep sounds like Eddie Murphy is preparing to dust down Axel Foley for a fourth time.

Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, who is currently working on The Transformers movie will produce the project which is looking for a scriptwriter: "Axel Foley is one of the great action-comedy characters, a character that Eddie loves. I'm lucky enough to help bring it back."

1984's original Beverly Hills Cop took $234.7 million at the US box office alone.
