Michael Sheen has landed an OBE for services to drama.
The actor, who played Tony Blair in 2006s The Queen, will meet Her Majesty for real after making the New Year Honours list. He starred alongside Dame Helen Mirren in the hit movie.
Sheen, who is currently wowing critics with his performance as Sir David Frost in the forthcoming Frost/Nixon, admits he was delighted with the news.
He beamed, "This is a huge honour. I am both thrilled and slightly mystified. But very grateful. It'll be nice to meet the real Queen at last."
Liz Smith, best known as playing Nana in The Royale Family, has received an MBE, whilst the producer of many films including Oscar Winner The Last Emperor and Sexy Beast, Jeremy Thomas was awarded a CBE.
