Following the successful remake of George A Romero's Dawn Of The Dead the celebrated zombie director's sequel Day Of The Dead has been given the go-ahead for a remake too.
The 1980 horror - set in an underground military bunker where a motley bunch of renegade army types and scientists attempt to unearth the secrets of the flesh eating undead - will be remade by Steve Miner, who's past credits include Halloween H20 and Lake Placid.
Before then, a director's cut of George A Romero's Land Of The Dead will be released with bonus footage on DVD December 26.
