What's going on with children's fantasy movies this year? Earlier this summer Star Wars: Episode III received a shock 12A rating, the first of the series to do so, then Spielberg's War Of The Worlds followed suit and now the latest Harry Potter flick has been deemed to contain the same level of adult-oriented material!
"Younger viewers could be frightened by some of the more intense scenes," a BBFC spokesman said. "At 12A we allow moderate level violence, but without focus on injuries or blood."
Younger children will still be able to see Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire but must be accompanied by an adult. In the US censors have given the movie a PG-13 rating.
