Orlando Bloomin' happy with modernity

Orlando Bloom has revealed that he is happy to be playing a contemporary character in Cameron Crowe's forthcoming, semi-autobiographical, movie Elizabethtown.

So far the British hunk has made his name playing swashbuckling heroes in Lord Of The Rings, Troy and Kingdom Of Heaven, however in Elizabethtown, due for release later this year, he portrays a young aristocrat.

"First and foremost, it was great to do a film without a sword or a horse or suit armor," he told a Japanese press conference.

Elizabethtown also stars Kirsten Dunst.
