Former Dawson's Creek actor Michael Pitt has agreed to star in the adaptation of Alessandro Baricco's novel Silk alongside Keira Knightley.
Pitt, who portrayed a Kurt Cobain-based character in Gus Van Sant's Last Days, will play Herve Joncour, a married silkworm smuggler who becomes obsessed with a European concubine on a Japanese business trip, according to KeiraWeb.com. Knightley plays Herve's suspicious wife.
