Martin Scorsese's Mob classic Goodfellas has been voted the greatest film of all time in a poll conducted by Total Film.
The film, which stars Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Ray Liotta, was labelled "arguably the slickest film ever made. Goodfellas has it all story, dialogue, performances, technique."
Hitchcock's Vertigo finished second and Jaws third.
Orson Welles' Citizen Kane, which has topped every other poll in existence, finished a lowly sixth.
