Bloom puts accent on performance

Orlando Bloom has been speaking about his role in Elizabethtown in which he appears alongside Kirsten Dunst and adopts an American accent.

"Not only working on the accent but actually understanding the American culture and getting to grips with that was certainly part of developing the character and making the role work," he told reporters in Venice.

Bloom plays a failed shoe designer in the Cameron Crowe movie which is being screened at the festival. Susan Sarandon and Alec Baldwin also feature in the romantic drama/comedy.
