The only good thing about this film was an exemplary performance by James McAvoy.
The story was as weak as the direction. The depiction of the war showed James McAvoy wandering around aimlessly in a field and then on a beach in France.
Kiera Knightly should pay for some acting lessons. As usual she tried to play a snooty upperclass snot who talked as if she had a boiled sweet in her mouth.
