The 2011 Oscar ceremony took place at the Kodak theatre in Los Angeles. This was the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony, and an exciting year for the Brits1

Melissa Leo took home the BEst Supporting Actress award, while British actor Christian Bale won Best Supporting Actor. Natalie Portman ventured out while heavily pregnant to pick up her Best Actress award, and home-grown hero Colin Firth won Best Actor. A win for Best Director and Best Picture went to 'The King's Speech'.
