Gemma Arterton has revealed it made a welcome change not to have a romantic storyline in her new movie Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.
The actress and Jeremy Renner play grown-up versions of the fairytale siblings in the film, which sees the pair working as bounty hunters.
"It was a real relief to play that kind of part - usually you still have to have a romantic connection with one of the characters, but in this one I don't and it's great," Gemma revealed at the movie's Los Angeles premiere.
"I'm just a girl and it's fun. It's really about the two of them and it's original, a brother and sister bad-a** team."
The former Bond girl also paid tribute to her co-star.
"He's such a generous actor and has become a really good friend. We just have a very natural connection, very open-hearted and we trusted each other instantaneously. It was so important for us to get that brother and sister relationship right and he really made me feel very comfortable from the word go."
