Rachel was born in LA, 1981 to a family dedicated to acting and film; her grandfather Bruce Bilson a famous director as was her father Danny Bilson.
Rachel grew up with her father’s family after her parents divorced while she was young, and she admits to having been treated like a princess as the baby of the family and knew from a young age, thanks to her father’s influence, that she wanted to be an actress.
Having graduated in 1999 from the Notre Dame High School where she regularly performed in the theatre Rachel was involved in a serious car crash which not only left her with a scar across her right eye, but also made her reassess her career and she began to take life much more seriously.
Having a Jewish father and Italian mother (actress Janice Stango) gave Rachel her natural beauty making her perfect onscreen fodder, and unsurprisingly Rachel’s name constantly appears in the top 50 most beautiful women in the world.
After various TV commercials her break came when she was offered small parts on American dramas such as That '70s Show and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After proving her worth she was cast as Summer Roberts in The O.C in 2003, where she met and started dating her onscreen love interest Seth Cohen played by Adam Brody.
Rachel has recently shown an interest in film acting debuting in The Last Kiss opposite Zach Braff.
