Jeff Bridges stars as laidback '60s dropout Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski in this comedy crime caper from the successful sibling writing-directing team of Joel and Ethan Coen.

The Dude is happy to hang out in LA's bowling emporiums and watch his life slip by until a group of criminals mistake him for millionaire Jeffrey Lebowski, whose young nubile wife, Bunny (Tara Reid - American Pie), owes them money. When Bunny's kidnapped, her husband assigns The Dude and his two quirky pals, Walter (John Goodman) and Donny (Steve Buscemi), to deliver the $1m ransom money and ensure Bunny's safe return.

However, events inevitably go awry and the three friends find themselves in an extraordinary world of double-crosses and violence, not to mention a bizarre bowling dream, while John Turturro's oily bowling alley character, Jesus, provides a hilarious highlight. Once again, the Coen brothers have produced an outstanding movie, which combines eclectic characters and wicked humour to create a first-rate film.

It has been digitally remastered for this special edition, which also includes an introduction by Mortimer Young, Making Of featurette, Jeff Bridges' photography and production notes.
