Jason Fuchs of Ice Age: Continental Drift fame is penning the screenplay which will see an orphan, presumably named Peter, taken to the magical world of Neverland. After leading a rebellion against a gang of evil pirates, the orphan becomes the celebrated saviour of the natives.

Columbia Pictures are also working on an original take on JM Barrie's classic tale, produced by Channing Tatum and Joe Roth and scripted by The Hunger Games and Captain Phillips scribe Billy Ray.
