Sherlock has sparked his own crime wave…

British Airways crew reported a high number of in-flight magazines going missing from their aircraft – leaving staff puzzled by the unusual on-board theft.

However the case has now been cracked, when copies of their ‘High Life’ mag were spotted being sold on eBay. Why? Because they had Benedict Cumberbatch on the cover.

The usually free publication featured a steely-eyed shot of the endearing ‘Sherlock’ and ‘Hobbit’ actor as its cover star, with an in-depth four page interview inside.

However the mags have since been found on auction site eBay selling for up to £30.

Kerri Smith, the editor of ‘High Life’ admitted that BA staff were “thrilled with the response so far”.

“We always strive to create the best-in-class content and Benedict Cumberbatch is quickly proving the most popular cover star we have ever had in our 41-year history.”
