With 'Slumdog Millionaire' and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' scooping the most nominations, it was always going to be an exciting battle to see who would take home the most BAFTA masks. Add into the mix a host of A-list actors who walked the red carpet either to present an award or hoping to receive one, it really was an exciting night.The late Heath Ledger won Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'The Dark Knight'.

These BAFTA's are a joke...How can Slumdog win best film but NOT in the British best film catagory?? The Yanks must be pissing themselves...

Posted by: marckellyv1 on Sun Feb 08 10:36PM | Report abuseIt's wonderful that Slumdog Millionaire won Best Film and Best Director for Danny Boyle, but it was a great night for Kate Winslet who got Best Actress - she definitely has a great chance of nabbing her first Oscar after years on missing out - good luck to her!!
