Mr. T interview!

If you're looking for someone to 'man up' the men of Britain, and if you can find him, then maybe you can call on Mr. T.

That's exactly what Snickers have done and the 80's icon took time out of his 'Mr. T's Get Some Nuts' tour to have a chat with Yahoo! Movies.

Yahoo! - Hello Mr. T, it's incredibly surreal to be chatting to someone whose action figure we used to play with when we were a kid.

Mr. T - Oh that means a lot brother. Adults come up to me all the time telling me that they grew up with me on TV. It makes me incredibly humble. I just want to inspire people. Listen, I didn't shoot anyone, I didn't steal from anyone. I was raised right by my momma. She taught me that when you get knocked down you get up again. Never give up.

Y! - You're here to man up the people of Britain. What about Hollywood actions stars? Can they cut it with the action peers of your day like Arnie and Sly?

Mr. T - We used to have Chuck Norris and Arnold. Great times. Lots of explosions and crazy stunts, lots of fun. There is no fun in today's action films. Today's action stars, they're not a team. They're in it for themselves. They may be A-Listers but they are not the A-Team. There's no I in team, but there's a T (laughs).

Y! - Are you going to make a cameo in The A -Team movie planned?

Mr. T - There is only one A-Team. That's why me or any of the other guys won't do it. It won't be like the original. When we did it no one got hurt. There will be people dying in this one and there will be sex. Not R- rated sex but sex scenes. They are going in a different direction. If they don't want me as B.A then I'm not going to settle for second best. And If I did do a cameo then the fans are gong to think I'm in it as B.A– and that’s false advertising. There will be no sequel, the fans will have their say. It will be forgotten about in three weeks –even before the DVD comes out."

Y! - We hear Ice Cube is up for the B.A Baracus part

Mr. T - I know he wants to do it. He's petitioning. Who wouldn't want to be me? Look at this candy bar (picks up the Snickers bar with his face on it). You can buy this in the confectionary stand in the cinema. So when people are buying tickets for the A-Team movie and they go and buy the popcorn and pick up this candy bar they’re going to see me on it. You can’t rid of Mr T.

Y! - Why weren't you in the recent Rocky film? We want to see a Rocky, Clubber Lang rematch.

Mr. T - I was asked to do it. Not do a fight scene but appear in a cameo. But it wouldn't work out scheduling wise. I thought it was good but the fighter in it was weedy. The first Rocky and Rocky III are the best.

Y! - You were a bodyguard before that film. How did you get the part?

Mr. T - Sly saw me as a bodyguard and asked me to play the part. And after it was done I thought 'Great, now I can go to bed'. But then the bosses of The A-Team saw it and wanted me for B.A. I was like 'Awww, can't I go to bed?' It's not like I went to United Artists and had a game plan. If I went through the rest of my life not earning any more money it wouldn't matter. I have been truly blessed."

Y! - What about Stallone's new movie The Expendables. It has Arnie, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Jason Statham. Surely you should be in that?

Mr. T - I'm waiting for the call. But it sounds like a Dirty Dozen type of movie. Besides, why would I want to be in another team? I was in the best one.
