    The Hunger Games: exclusive pic shows Peeta and Katniss in uniform

    A new picture from 'The Hunger Games' has been released exclusively through Yahoo Movies UK.

    Suits you... Katniss and Peeta
    It shows main characters Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) wearing (we think) their natty District 12 uniforms. They look a little concerned... as well they should.

    As fans will know, 'The Hunger Games' is based on the best selling trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, with around 12 million copies sold so far.

    It's set in a nightmarish future where a boy and girl from the 12 districts must fight to the death on live television — like a real life 'Robot Wars'.


    Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Stanley Tucci fill out the cast, while Gary Ross ('Seabiscuit', 'Pleasantville') directs.

    The Hunger Games opens on 23 March 2012 in the UK.

      No this would just be they're training outfit. It says it in the first that it's a red pullover and black pants and that she was upset that Peeta had the same thing on. Cinna would design something better and it's not what they wear in the arena

      that was Rue's 4 note tune? I felt my eye sting a bit, i love this trilogy, violent but so much humanity..I can't wait to see the movie. already familiarized myself with the main actors :)

      OMFG the boooks were amazing, the movie looks good but you never know, they might cut off a bunch of the good stuff in it. If it going to be like that theres gonna b some major uprisings..... im just saying!!!

        I thought that when I read the books, and to a certain extent you're right. The difference comes in motivation, and I won't say any more than that to avoid spoilers.

        If you have REALLY seen the 2 Battle Royale fims then you would KNOW that nothing Hollywood could do could approach them-Japanese cinema at it's very best.

        You obviously have not read the books. I am not a teenage girl. These books are really well done. They are certainly not just for teenagers and are not in any way comparable to Twilight.

        the word "retarded" is technically a slur,just so u know it's not openly accepted by our society. And I am not a 12 y/o teenage girl. I probably read hundreds of books and novels. This book is not perfect, but it's the storytelling that grabs people.
