Latest ‘Marvel Avengers Assemble’ trailer reveals new villain

Between the awfully Photoshopped posters and the baffling decision to change the film's title, The Aven.... sorry, we mean 'Marvel Avengers Assemble' still looks like a great blockbuster, as the latest trailer proves.

Continuing the build up to the 26 April release of the epic superhero mash-up, the new trailer offers a lot more in the way of story while still finding the time to cram in plenty of comic book action.

Among the heaps of new footage is plenty of Hulk, and both Captain America and Iron Man taking on Thor for a so far unexplained reason.

The big talking point however? The enormous new villain at the end, which is tentatively believed to be a villain from the Iron Man comics called Fin Fang Foom (but we doubt it'd be called that in the film). It might also be Thor villain the Midgard Serpent, or a funky mix of the two.

We also see Hulk saving Iron Man from a fatal fall, Tom Hiddlestone's villainous Loki taunting Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury and Hulk chasing down or running-away-from-something-with Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

With plenty of tantalising dialogue, a fresh take on what our heroes are facing and a rousing score to get pulses racing, this is one cracking trailer.

With less than two months until the most ambitious comic book movie ever hits the screen, this trailer should remedy lots of the concerns brought about by that daft name change.

'Marvel Avengers Assemble' is set for release 26 April.
