Exclusive: New Total Recall trailer

The three-breasted prostitute is back! 'Total Recall' may be a reboot, but the filmmakers have kept one of the more memorable characters from the original, as we see in this exclusive new trailer.

Colin Farrell plays factory worker Douglas Quaid, who has memories implanted to make him think he's a spy. Farrell couldn't be more different from Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the character in Paul Verhoeven's version.

This adaptation adds a war between two superpowers - The United Federation of Britain and New Asia — into the mix and also sees Kate Beckinsale play Quaid's wife. She's no stranger to director Len Wiseman, as the pair got married after working together on 'Underworld'. The lovely Jessica Biel is the member of a resistance group who helps out Quaid when his wife tries to kill him.

The film ditches the original Mars setting and aims for a less camp, more serious tone than the 1990 incarnation, which perhaps suits Philip K. Dick's ace original source material "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale".

And judging by this footage, Wiseman - who also helmed the enjoyably crunching 'Die Hard 4.0' - will deliver solid action throughout.

'Total Recall' is released in the UK on 29 August 2012.
