Brad Pitt to quit acting in three years

Brad Pitt has said he has neared his "shelf life” and announced on Australian TV his intention to quit acting by the age of 50.

He is currently promoting his new film ‘Moneyball’ and is in the middle of filming zombie war epic ‘World War Z’ with director Marc Forster

Pitt, 47, who has starred in numerous classics including ‘Fight Club’, ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and this year’s ‘The Tree of Life’ said he’d like to continue producing but doesn’t know what else he’d do.

The ‘Seven’ actor said he’d like to use his role as owner of production company Plan B Entertainment to get "stories to the plate that may have had a harder time otherwise".

Despite his ambitions to quit the acting world he did say he would love one day play a foul-mouthed "grumpy old man".

Pitt and Angelina Jolie were recently in Vietnam where they adopted their second child Pax, and apparently the pair might be looking to add to their six children.

When pressed on the subject he said, “I don't know that we're finished yet, I don't know yet."
