A few years back director McG breathed new life into a cheesy TV cop show by bringing Charlie and his Angels to the big screen. While the finished product was never going to win any Oscars it was fun if rather forgettable so how does this follow-up fair against its predecessor?

The Angels (Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu) are hired by the government to try and find two rings that, once put together, reveal the new identities and locations of every person guarded by the Witness Protection Program. Along the way they end up crossing swords with a fallen former Angel (Demi Moore), a psycho Irish gangster (Justin Theroux) and the enigmatic Thin Man (Crispin Glover) from the first film.

But the plot is largely irrelevant to the film's success. Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is more a collection of fight sequences, dirt bike chases and homages to other Hollywood blockbusters than a film with any great narrative flow. From impersonating nuns to fighting a Mongol horde to bumping and grinding as part of a burlesque troop, Full Throttle is visual stimulation and little more. But saying that it's Grade-A eye candy for both sexes.
