One lazy summer in Mercer, Montana (population 1,536 - but not for long), easygoing Clay Bidwell endures a comically hellish odyssey. It all starts when Clay's best friend Earl doesn't take too kindly to the news that Clay has been sleeping with Earl's hot-to-trot wife. Things go from bad to worse, and Clay soon has the unwanted attentions of both an FBI agent and an elusive serial killer.
