Cast of Les Miserables to perform at the Oscars

Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman will sing on the night

Cast-members from Tom Hooper's screen adaptation of 'Les Miserables' are to perform at the Oscars ceremony, it's been confirmed.

Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks and Helena Bonham Carter are among those who will perform on the night.

The segment will be part of a larger celebration of film musicals.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jennifer Hudson will also perform songs from 'Chicago' and 'Dreamgirls'.

“We are pleased to have been able to amass so much talent to create the celebration of musicals of the last decade that we envisioned,” said show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

“We are thrilled that so many talented actors have agreed to bring our vision to life.”

The show will also feature Adele singing the Oscar-nominated theme from 'Skyfall', while Dame Shirley Bassey is also confirmed to attend, though it's not known whether she will be performing.

The show takes place this Sunday (February 24).
