Charlie Sheen reverts to family name for 'Machete Kills'
Wayward star reverts to 'Estevez' for new Robert Rodriguez flick
It looks as if troubled actor Charlie Sheen may have thrown fans another curveball with his appearance in Robert Rodriguez' next movie, 'Machete Kills.'

In an exclusive on film blog 'TMZ' a screenshot from the film's credits show Charlie billed in stark white on red as 'Carlos Estevez', his official birth name.
It's the first time the 47-year old has used his real name (his full name is Carlos Irwin Estevez) in a screen appearance, leading to speculation that it's either a sign of solidarity for Rodriguez' championing of all things Latino, or that he's merely being his usual paradoxical self.
Sheen (or Estevez) will be playing a U.S. president who sends assassin Machete Cortez (Danny Trejo) to battle an arms dealer. He joins a cast that includes Sofia Vergara, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Amber Heard and Demian Bichir.

Charlie's famous dad, Martin, was originally named Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estevez but adopted the surname Sheen in order to get work in Hollywood. He's never actually legally changed it, and only his son Emilio has, to date, kept the name.
'Machete Kills' is released on Sept. 13.
