Cher admits Burlesque was 'not a good movie'
2010 musical didn't meet actress's exacting standards.
In the latest in a spate of stars slagging off their own movies, Cher has stepped up to the plate to take a swing at 'Burlesque'.
The 2010 musical arrived on the back of the revival of the burlesque scene in popular culture, but the veteran star didn't think it up to snuff.

“It wasn't a good film,” the 67-year-old star admitted to the Los Angeles Times. “It had a few good moments, but I didn't even like my performance that much.
“What, I don't have a brain? I'm old but I'm still pretty on top of everything."
Cher played veteran burlesque dancer Tess, who gives smalltown girl Ali (played by Christina Aguilera) a shot at performing at her LA club.
It also starred Julianne Hough, Kristen Bell, Eric Dane, Alan Cumming and Stanley Tucci.
Critics tended to agree with Cher's view of the movie, and were largely unmoved by the action on screen.

Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune said: “The choicest dialogue in 'Burlesque' provokes the sort of laughter that other, intentionally funny films only dream of generating,” while the late Roger Ebert added: “'Burlesque' shows Cher and Christina Aguilera being all that they can be, and that's more than enough.”
Cher joins Sandra Bullock in slated her own material of late.
Only this week, Bullock decried the two sequels she has made, 'Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous' and 'Speed 2: Cruise Control', as 'horrible'.
