The Navy's newest and most sophisticated ship accidently downs a civilian jetliner in the Atlantic. When a seasoned Navy skipper whose own warship was involved in the exercise refuses to participate in a cover-up, a covert cat-and-mouse game begins on the high seas between the ultramodern ship and his vastly outgunned rustbucket.
