Dramatic transformation for Johnny Depp in first full Transcendence trailer

Upcoming sci-fi flick Transcendence will see Johnny Depp undergo a dramatic physical transformation.

The first full trailer for the film sees the actor's locks shorn, and replaced with pretty terrifying looking probes.

Transcendence stars Depp as leading artificial intelligence scientist Will Castor, whose wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) preserves his consciousness in cyberspace when he's shot by terrorists.

But when Castor begins to shape the world into something of his own making, he becomes a force that must be stopped at all costs.

Paul Bettany, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy and Kate Mara also star in director Wally Pfister's debut, set to hit cinemas on 25 April 2014.
