Drive director to helm The Equalizer?
Nicolas Winding Refn in talks to direct Denzel Washington in the big screen adaptation
Nicolas Winding Refn is reportedly in talks to direct the forthcoming big screen version of cult 80s show 'The Equalizer'.
Refn, who made both 'Drive' with Ryan Gosling and 'Bronson' with Tom Hardy, would be directing Denzel Washington in the role made famous by Edward Woodward in the TV series.

The production is set to start in the spring, with the screenplay having been penned by 'The Expendables 2' writer Richard Wenk.
The show, which was produced by US network CBS, ran from 1985 to 1989.
It featured 'Wicker Man' star Woodward as Robert McCall, a former covert operations expert turned vigilante detective.
Those in need would find him through his newspaper ad, which read: “Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer. 212 555 4200.”
Russell Crowe was originally in the frame to play McCall but since this time last year, Washington has held the part.
Meanwhile, Refn is also attached to a remake of 'Logan's Run', which was set to star Ryan Gosling and Rose Byrne, before Gosling dropped out in October.
