Devotees of 'Dumb & Dumber' had better hold on to their tuxedos... The Farrelly Brothers are offering a walk-on role in their new movie.

The directing siblings want fans to recreate a scene from the original movie, and then post a Vine clip of it online.

If they like yours the best, then you and a friend could find yourselves in walk-on roles in the sequel, 'Dumb & Dumber To'.

Taking to their Facebook page, the Farrellys set out the rules: “Alright, here are the contest rules for Winning A Walk-On on Dumb & Dumber To!

“First, make a Vine re-creating a scene from the original 'Dumb & Dumber', but put your own spin on it.

“Use the hashtag #DumbTo so we can see them all. (Yeah yeah, I know what a “hashtag” is…now) You have until September 15, 2013 to post.

“After September 15, Bobby and I will pick the winner. The winner and a friend gets to be a walk-on on the film. Good luck!”

“And yeah, for those who can’t stop, multiple entries are fine,” they added on Twitter.

With many other films, this would feel like a straight-forward bit of shameless marketing, but for 'Dumb & Dumber', a film beloved by so many, it's an opportunity to share the screen with Harry and Lloyd.

The only question remains, which scene would you choose? Cuddling on a moped? Chili-eating at the diner? Killing an owl?

Maybe avoid the last one.

After a few false starts, the film is due to start shooting in mid-September, with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back as the film's hapless dimwits.

It's planned that the sequel will be released next summer, to coincide with the first film's 20th anniversary.
