Review: Elizabeth the Golden Age provides some excellent acting performances from a number of first rate performers, the battle scenes are also brilliant. However the film is let down badly by the writers and its direction, it seems to have taken the view that if a historical figure happened to be in an unsuitable place for the story then just move him, having said that the film is worth seeing, just not by the history class.
