A surreal journey through New York's East Village told through the eyes of drifter-poet Jim Monk. As he travels through a world of artists, musicians, drag-queen hookers, showgirls, Pygmalions, and feminist filmmakers, he meets a group of local minstrels and heads down the road to becoming the next Jim Morrison.
