Chiwetel Ejiofor has teased that he cannot say anything about Star Wars: Episode VII.
The 12 Years A Slave star, who has been rumoured to have a role in the upcoming seventh instalment, which will be directed by JJ Abrams, hinted that he has to keep his cards close to his chest.
"Who knows? We'll just have to see. I don't know is really the only answer I can give you," he teased.
The 36-year-old added: "I'm a huge fan of that world and JJ, but I don't know. I can't tell you."
Chiwetel said playing Solomon Northup - a free man abducted and sold into slavery - in Steve McQueen's film was one of his "dream" roles.
"There are a lot of things that would be great to play and to investigate if I spent enough time thinking about it, but really it's to try and see what actually does happen, w hat materialises... and figure out what the great stories are," he said.
"What are the stories that will engage me and what are the things I would like to see? Sometimes it's a happy mixture of things with that that come my way, which is definitely the case with this film. This was a director I really wanted to work with, this was a subject matter I thought was fascinating to tackle. That's the dream come true."
The actor continued: " I've wanted to work with Steve since I saw Hunger, which I thought was completely brilliant. I got the opportunity not long after that to see him in Amsterdam, where he lives, so I went out there, we had coffee and we talked about life and films. Many years later, this came up."
