Hooliganism is something that all genuine football fans hope has been weeded out of the beautiful game, but this film from director Nick Love seeks to return to 'the good old days'.
Tommy (Danny Dyer) is a mid-level thug in Chelsea's firm. His war hero, Grandad (Dudley Sutton), is planning on moving to Australia, his best mate (Neil Maskell) is getting all loved up with some 'bird', and he's having bad dreams about an upcoming ruck with the Millwall mob. Maybe a good fight will help clear his head?
Needless to say, this is the sort of film that will polarise audiences. For some football violence is abhorrent; for others, it's all part of the Saturday afternoon ritual - so no prizes for guessing who'll like The Football Factory.
DVD extras include an audio commentary from Love and Dyer, an alternate opening, deleted scenes, trailer and Nick Love's short film, Love Story.
