NOTHING CAN BE THE SAME AGAIN
In the long, hot summer of 1935 three young lives are changed forever when thirteen-year-old Briony Tallis witnesses her older sister Celia (Keira Knightley) and their housekeeper’s son Robbie (James McAvoy) together.
Bored and alone, Briony invents a scheming plan accusing Robbie of committing a terrible crime. Soon after, amid the growing tension and turmoil of World War II, Celia and Robbie’s new love is destroyed and they must face the consequences of Briony’s accusations, but none of their lives can ever go back to the way they were.
Atonement is based on the best selling novel by British writer Ian McEwan and is released on DVD 4th February.
