James Franco has announced that he is to direct a new movie.
The 127 Hours actor - who is currently promoting a clutch of new flicks at the Sundance Film Festival - said he will also star in the upcoming film, which is an adaptation of author James Ellroy's thriller American Tabloid.
He told MTV: "We're going to do American Tabloid by James Ellroy."
The 34-year-old said he will be taking on both acting and directing duties, but added: "It's not all put together yet."
James is currently the toast of Sundance, where he is promoting three movies, Interior. Leather Bar., a film about gay sexual expression, Kink, a documentary about an online porn site and Lovelace, a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace starring Amanda Seyfried.
