Great special effects, particularly the Polar Bears. But a story you can't properly follow without knowing the book, and if you know the book you'll not appreciate the way the story lines changed. On balance, a must for the fans, otherwise forget... full review

While most conversions of book to big screen movies are not as convincing, this movie held its own, not only with annimation that was more believable than the Lucas latter saga of star wars, it also did its upmost to not drag the story out like the Lord ... full review
