Nicolas Cage stars in this 1996 high-octane remake of H. B. Halicki's 1974 smash-and-grab chase flick.

Cage is Memphis Raines, a retired car thief forced to return to LA when his younger brother, Kip - played by supporting actor regular, Giovanni Ribisi - blows a job for a local gangster. Threatened with his sibling's imminent demise Memphis is given an ultimatum by, surprisingly, Christopher Eccleston, doing a nice turn as the LA villain: steal 50 luxury cars in 72-hours or his brother bites the dust. Accepting the challenge, Memphis recruits his old crewmates - Otto (Robert Duvall), Sway (Angelina Jolie replete with blonde dreadlocks!) and Sphinx (Vinnie 'Hard Man' Jones) - to help him liberate the specific motors, all whilst under the constant surveillance of local cop, Detective Castlebeck (Delroy Lindo).

This edge-of-your-seat thriller - which was produced by the same people that bought us hits such as Armageddon, Con Air and The Rock - sees director Dominic Sena pouring on the style with fluid car chases and explosive action sequences.

This special edition comes packed with previously unseen feature documentaries including Zero To 60 - From Script To Screen, Wild Rides and Car Stunts. Then there's a look behind the scenes of the main chase, Stars On The Move, which is nicely character driven(!); Action Overload, a collection of spectacular adrenaline-pumping scenes plus conversations with that uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
