Full list of Golden Globe 2013 nominations

Lincoln and Argo get most nods, while Adele is also nominated for Skyfall tune.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominations for the 2013 Golden Globes, with Steven Spielberg's presidential 'Lincoln' biopic leading the way with seven nominations.

It's up for Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director and Best Actor - Drama for Daniel Day-Lewis' performance as the doomed president.

It faces stiff competition in the drama category from Ben Affleck's gritty real-life story 'Argo' and Quentin Tarantino's revenge western 'Django Unchained' - which both earned five nods. Bin Laden assassination thriller 'Zero Dark Thirty' is on four nominations.

Meanwhile 'Les Miserable' is surely the strong favourite for the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy award. Tom Hooper's rousing musical adaptation earned Anne Hathaway a Best Supporting Actress nomination.

Interestingly though, Hooper has been omitted from the Best Director shortlist.

The most talked-about British interest could be Adele - her theme tune for ‘Skyfall’ has been nominated for Best Original Song.

This will be the 70th The Golden Globes ceremony and will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host the awards.

The awards often give a strong indication which films will win big at the Oscars, held the following month.

Last year 'The Artist' scooped the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy gong before winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
