Heroes Past And Present Team Up For New X-Men Posters

Four fan favourite X-Men have been unveiled in the latest posters for Bryan Singer’s upcoming superhero epic, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In a play on the film’s time travel theme the mutants of the past and present team up for the dramatic images, which seem to involve a lot of intense staring on the part of the actors.

The first showcases two Charles Xaviers - one hairy, played by James McAvoy... and one decidedly not, in the form of Patrick Stewart.

McAvoy recently revealed he was honoured to work alongside Stewart on the movie, telling PA: “It was lovely. I've been a big fan of him and the Star Trek films for years.

“He was incredible as Captain Jean-Luc Picard - (he had) so much gravitas, so much weight, so much authority and nobility - so to get to do my bit against his bit and put our two conks in profile together was really an honour.”

The actor went on to quip: “He's like a slightly less good actor than me, so it feels great working with him. It makes you feel like a better actor, and you know you're going to come out, having won the scene.”

The second of the new images unveiled by Metro gives Halle Berry a close up as she returns to the role of Ororo ‘Storm’ Munroe. We also get a good look at the makeover given to Nicholas Hoult’s furry, blue Beast, Hank McCoy.

Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence also reprise their roles as the Magneto young and old, Wolverine and Mystique respectively.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits cinemas on May 22.
