Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) are two hit-men, who are sent to Bruges (that's in Belgium), after a difficult job, and reflect on life, death, sex, guilt and midgets, while taking in the beautiful and soft sights of Bruges.
Farrell is on top draw, as he hits every witty line in McDonagh's script, with precision and hilarity, while also adding passion and emotion, as the man fighting his demons, in a place worse than hell. While Gleeson fuels the touching, and entirely hilarious brotherly-intimacy between the two killers.
McDonagh's feature directorial début is, smart, witty, funny and touching, combining both black comedy and emotion to create a film well worth a watch that'll make you laugh from start to finish.
