Jackie Chan lines up two more Chinese blockbusters
Proving again that the Chinese market for films is becoming more lucrative by the day, the country's most successful producers, The Huayi Brothers, have announced not one but TWO action movies starring Jackie Chan.
The announcement of the new films, dubbed 'The H Files' by the flamboyant brothers came yesterday at a lavish press conference in Shanghai.

Chan will be co-producing and starring in the tentatively-titled 'Manhattan', a film in which he plays “a dark hero” who “converses with love and hate.”
The other project is currently titled 'Wolf Flag' and has Chan starring in a “mournful ode" set in the "stricken desert" (whatever that means). Both films are slated for release in 2014.
European and American audiences may care less for Chan's most recent efforts, but his teaming with the Huayi Brothers shows how significant the Chinese market is becoming. The producers' other current project for the market is David Ayer's 'Fury' which stars Brad Pitt.

What's more, the announcement comes hot on the heels of the success of 'CZ12.'
While western audiences may not have even heard of it, this action comedy generated $138 million at the mainland Chinese box office earlier this year, making it the second most successful film in China as well as netting the diminutive martial arts legend two Guinness World Records for "Most Stunts Performed by a Living Actor" and "Most Credits in One Movie"!
